Travelling sounds fun, right? However, the case becomes different when you are planning a trip with your tiny tot. Some parents are naturally pro at handling difficult situations which might come but others are not. For the same reason, we are listing some instructions which might make your trip easier and enjoyable even with your little one beside you all the time. Explore The Shop Home
Ensure ear comfort
Hurting ears are a common thing when you are flying, so it is advisable to carry a pacifier, some lollipops and earbuds with you. When riding a plane, make your child drink from the bottle or make them suck on lollipops during take-off and landing to avoid their ears getting hurt. Not doing this may result in your child becoming cranky and irritable and we are sure you don't want that.
2. Carry a source of entertainment
It must be remembered that your child is a "child" and will not be as patient as you on long road or air trips. It is necessary to keep your toddler “entertained” during travel time. They are usually full of energy and even 30- minutes of travel time could feel like an eternity to them which might result in temper-tantrums and fussiness. To prevent this, you can bring some toys and snacks to keep your toddler from being bored. Make sure to keep your playlist full of your toddler's favourite songs to keep them busy. The best thing is to include songs which you play while playing with him/her or the ones which make them relaxed before sleep-time.
Carry a carrier and protective coverings
If your toddler is not heavy and you are travelling by aeroplane, you can carry a carrier. Most airports allow to check-in with a stroller, so you don't have to worry about it; however, you must always do some research before doing so. Also, it is advisable to carry a raincoat lest it rains on your trip. Carrying a waterproof coat or sheet comes in handy. Not only rains, but it can also prevent your toddler from getting sunburnt in the sunny climates.
Bring sterilized bottles
Most toddlers wean off by the time they are two or so. Very few are known to continue breastfeeding past two or three years. If your child uses bottle-feed, you can carry sterilizing tablets. If you don't have them, you can get the sterilization done at the hotels as well. Hotels, nowadays, are very child-friendly, so you have to worry less even if you are not willingly carrying or forgot to carry sterilization tablets. If this doesn't work, you can carry extra sterilized bottles.
Carry sunscreen or sunblock
Carrying a sunblock is one of the most essential tip while travelling with your toddler. If you are going to be outside most of the time, do not take the risk of forgetting it. Decide the list before you travel and make sure to apply sunscreen every two to three hours until you are out. This instruction applies even when the sky is cloudy. Ultraviolet rays can damage your toddler's delicate skin in an instant, so don't take the risk. To carry all or to carry few? This is a dilemma which grips most parents while planning a trip with their toddlers. One way is to check for nearest pharmacies or convenience stores at the time when you are finalising your trip. Google may show you the stores nearest to your resorts stores and you can also search for them once you arrive at your destination. So, don't pack everything; pack just the essential requirements to sail you through two to three days and the top ups can be bought if the need arises. The other way is to take everything so that there is no panic at a new place. Unlike grown-ups, shampoos and soaps available in hotels may not be good for toddlers. Their skin might get damaged with the exposure to the chemicals or they may develop an allergy (which would be a nightmare while travelling). Don't take the risk; make sure you carry your toddler's moisturizer, shampoos and soaps. Once again, don't overload yourself; bring just enough. Travelling with toddlers can be stressful, but the joy of it all surpasses the challenges. They get to see the world with you; what could be better than that?
